MAHOMET — Effingham High  School’s Addy Hemrich placed first at the Apollo Conference Tennis Tournament Saturday.

Hemrich was playing at the No. 5 singles.

Second place for Effingham was Ava Rogers at the No. 4 singles.

Taking third place finishes were Eva Wendling at No. 1, Cora Hartmann at No. 2, Elle Keller at No. 3 and Emma Knaus at No. 6.

Eva Wendling won one of the nine Apollo All-Conference medals.

Effingham finished second place at the conference as a team.
