A Teutopolis resident was injured in a Monday afternoon crash.

The crash occurred at 4pm on 1600th Street, a quarter-mile north of Illinois Route 33.

Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reported that a car driven by 20-year-old Kayden Zerrusen of Teutopolis was southbound, lost control of the vehicle, traveled off the roadway to the right, and struck a culvert.

The car flipped end over end and struck a second culvert.

Zerrusen was taken by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. No citations were issued.
