St. Anthony claimed both the boys and girls Teutopolis Cross Country Invitational titles.
Effingham St. Anthony won both the boys and girls meets at the Teutopolis Junior High Cross Country Invitational Monday.
The Bullpups won the boys meet with 22 points followed by Teutopolis 40, Richland County, Olney 76, Altamont Lutheran 108, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 150 and Sigel St. Michael 154.
St. Anthony claimed the top three spots as Max Schuette won in 11:09.1, Braxton Schultz was second in 11:36.6 and Will Ludwig took third in 11:38.0. Rhett Douthit placed seventh in 11:53.6 and Kyle Bierman finished out the scoring with an 11th place finish in 12:08.9.
The Bullpups also won the girls meet with 36 points followed by Richland County, Olney 50, Sigel St. Michael 53, Teutopolis 76 and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 145.
St. Michael’s Nora Schumacher won the girls meet with a time of 12:26.9.
St. Anthony’s scoring was Bella Schultz second in 12:29.1, Sylvia Semple third in 12:30.0, Maeve Niebrugge sixth in 13:02.1. Morgan Kabbes 10th in 13:22.2 and Nina Semple 15th in 13:44.9.
