Effingham’s Ella Tuman claims fourth place at invitational.
CHAMPAIGN — Teutopolis claimed second place while Effingham was fourth at the Champaign Centennial Girls Golf Invitational Friday.
Normal Community won the team championship with 321 followed by Teutopolis 346, Monticello 352, Effingham 357, Centennial 385, Bellevile West 390, Champaign St. Thomas More 394, Charleston 399 and Normal West 412.
There were no scores for Altamont, Windsor, Bloomington, Champaign Central and Mattoon.
Medalist was Normal Community’s Savannah Siegrist with a 75.
T-town’s Olivia Wermert was fifth with an 80, Molly Habing ninth with an 85, Brileigh Bloemer 14th with an 88, Josie Willenborg 21st with a 93, Halle Bushue 24th with a 95 and Brooke Thoele 27th with a 97.
Effingham’s Ella Tuman finished fourth with a 79. Also competing for the Hearts were Addie Ruiz 12th with an 87, Natalie Armstrong 16th with a 90, Allison Kroenlein 91st with a 91, Kennedy Tolliver 51st with a 116 and Hannah Buckman 116th with a 51.
Altamont’s Cecilia Pearcy finished 113th with a 97 and Emma Sphar was 132nd with a 100.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg’s Olivia Vonderheide finished with a 100, Bailey Owens a 111 and Addie Porter with a 118.
