2025 Homecoming Week begins Sunday at Effingham High School.
This year’s theme is “Golden Hour”.
Things will get started with the Homecoming Parade at 3pm. The parade will stage along 2nd Street behind Effingham Public Library. The procession will travel west on Jefferson Avenue to Cherry Street, then will travel south on Cherry Street to Grove Avenue, and will then head west on Grove to the high school.
This year’s Parade Marshal is longtime EHS teacher, sponsor and coach Carol Babbs.
The parade will be followed by the Powder Puff football game at 4:30pm. Game donations can be made to Effingham County FISH. There will be food trucks from Toppins Soft Serve, EffingTaco Truck, and Izzy’s Shiver Shack.
The Homecoming Court includes Freshmen Taylor Davis and Brayden Baudier, Sophomores Emily Loew and Westin Hayes, Sophomores Eva Wendling and Luke Harper, Seniors Makenna Mayhood and Max Flack, Seniors Emma Newlin and Max Greenwood, Seniors Reece Wendling and Cole Phillips, Seniors Averie Wolfe and Max Buzzard, Juniors Kyndal Fearday and Rece Kinney, Juniors Gieah Schlanser and Jude Traub, and Freshmen Skylar Harminson and Bryden Kade.
