(A HELICOPTER ARRIVES TO TAKE THE INJURED DRIVER FOR TREATMENT)
A semi crash injured one person at 5:47pm Wednesday.
Illinois State Police report the crash occurred on northbound I-57 near the south tri-level. The driver, 37-year-old Kyanta Coleman of North Little Rock, Arkansas, left the roadway to the left, re-entered the roadway and overturned, coming to rest across the northbound lanes in a construction zone.
Coleman was flown from the scene for treatment of injuries. The northbound lanes of I-57 were closed during the cleanup of the scene. The lanes reopened at 10pm.
