Dieterich school board members Monday discussed a facility project. The work could include roof replacement over the junior high wing and cafeteria, addition of solar panels, tuckpointing, and a covered walkway leading to the vocational shop. No action was taken.

The Board passed the new fiscal year budget, which calls for $8,660,284 in income and $8,392,434 in expenditures. It was also shared that current Pre-K to 12 enrollment is 630, the same as last year at this point. Also, the Dieterich Pre-K Program, under the direction of Miss Jenni Doan, was recently awarded the fiscal year ExceleRate Circle of Quality award, based on the program’s most recent monitoring results from the Pre-School for All Grant.

The Board hired Bailey Brummer, Grace Hahn and Chase Tegeler as student workers; approved a leave of absence in February for Nicole Flood; and accepted a letter of retirement for Phyllis Rohlfing effective at the end of the school year.
