 Shelby Board Approves Transportation Projects; Fills Several Appointments

Shelby County board members approved some transportation improvement projects at this month’s meeting.

The Board approved an engineering agreement for a structure over Richland Creek in Clarksburg Township for $45,000; an agreement for a structure over Sorghum Branch Creek in Flat Branch Township for $70,500; a permit fee schedule; and to begin the bid process for repairs on the Findlay Bridge bearings.

The Board retained a law firm to assist with road use agreements for solar and wind farm projects in the county; agreed to participate in an opioid settlement plan; and agreed to transfer three parcels sold for back taxes.

Several appointments were approved…Jolene Beyers, Joshua Culumber, Curtis Corzine, Peter Dove, Michael Wheeler and Tammi Kull as drainage district commissioners and John Weber to the Airport and Landing Fields Commission.
