Janet M. “Jan” Besmer, 90, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be given directly to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or (EWTN) Eternal World Television Network.
