The Effingham Junior High School fifth and sixth-graders traveled to Centralia to compete in a sixth-grade and under cross country meet.
“They loved the shorter course, only 1.2 miles, and enjoyed racing against teams we have never seen before,” said Coach Nancy Ervin. “We managed to run away with four medals in each race as the top 25 finishers get medals.”
Girls — A. Smith 4th place , K. Jones 7th place, L. Lovett 15th place , S. Johnson 18th place (92 totals runners)
Boys — D. Wyckoff 4th place, C. Devall 10th, H. White 14th, K. Duncan 23rd (94 total runners)
Runners of the meet were Boys: K. Duncan and Girls: H. Westjohn .
