 Teutopolis Unbeaten In High School Baseball

WOODLAWN — Teutopolis improved to a perfect 9-0 in high school baseball by blanking Woodlawn 10-0 in five innings Wednesday.

The Shoes moved into a 4-0 opening inning lead then added on five in the second and ended the contest via the 10-run rule with one in the fifth.

T-t0wn had eight hits. Andy Lustig had a single, double and an RBI. Austin Borries and Nolan Schumacher finished with a double and two RBI each, Teagan Pals had a double and an RBI and Bryce Niebrugge and Gavin Addis a single and an RBI each.

Davin Worman went four innings on the mound for the win. He gave up one hit, walked two and struck out seven. Niebrugge went the final inning, giving up one hit and one walk.

The Shoes are back in action with a junior varsity game against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg today at Teutopolis. The varsity will travel to North Clay Saturday.

Woodlawn heads to Brownstown/St. Elmo Saturday.
