SULLIVAN — Newton captured a three-team boys golf match over Effingham St. Anthony junior varsity and Sullivan Monday at the Sullivan Country Club.
Newton tallied a 170 followed by St. Anthony 175 and Sullivan 175.
The Eagles’ Michael Kennedy was medalist with a 36. Also scoring were Jackson James 40, Jacob Oldham 47 and Blaine Bergbower 47. Ajay McCann tallied a 55. Bergbower got his first eagle from 90 yards out on par 5 second hole.
Scoring for the Bulldogs were Andrew Meyer 41, Liam McAllaster 42, Trenton Sandschafer 42 and Daniel Ramos 50. Julius Famos and Marcus Geen had a 62 each. Zaden page finished with a 61 and Keegan Overbeck a 65.
Sullivan golfers were M. Monroe 42, D. Woolen 42, C. Saul 42, B. Stollard, K. Smith 50 and J. Kinder 57. Others included N. Hobbs 47 and O. Brush 52.
