 Five-Year Prison Sentence for Meth Possession

A Jewett resident has been sentenced to five years in prison for methamphetamine possession in Effingham County.

56-year-old Jeffrey Marlow was arrested for meth delivery in 2024, but pleaded guilty to the possession charge. Marlow also pleaded guilty to a drug charge in Cumberland County as part of the negotiated plea.

Once out of prison, Marlow will serve one year of mandatory supervised release. He was also given credit for 225 days served while awaiting for disposition of his case.
