STRASBURG — Scoring three runs in the third inning, Dieterich took the early lead and went on for a 6-2 win over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in junior high softball action Tuesday.
The Roadrunners scored two more in the fourth and held a 5-2 lead after six innings before adding on another run in the seventh.
Nora Wente and Addison Icenogle had a double each for the winners. Wente added an RBI. Lydia Kreke and Emery Bill finished with a single and an RBI each.
Kreke tossed a four-hitter. She struck out seven and gave up two walks.
Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Callie Holland with a single and an RBI. Reese Stigers, Gracyn Montgomery and Maddy Manhart added a single each.
The Hatchets finished with three errors.

Altamont banged out 18 hits and finished with a 10-2 victory over St. Elmo/Brownstown Tuesday.
The winners were led by Blakely McClellan with five singles, Teegan Burrus with four singles and two RBI, Payton Ort with two singles, a double and an RBI, Olivia Bowman with two singles and two RBI, Zoey Storck with two singles and Mary Tappendorf with a single and an RBI.
Blaire Suckow kept the Eagles off base by striking out 10. She allowed only three hits and two walks.
St. Elmo/Brownstown also committed six errors. Mabry Booher had a single and two RBI while Parker Haslett and Leanna Montgomery had a single each.

South Central’s Claire Chasteen threw a one-hitter and led offensively as the Falcons bounced Sandoval by a 16-0 count in three innings Tuesday.
Chasteen finished with eight strikeouts and did not walk a batter.
Meanwhile, the Falcons had 10 hits led by Chasteen with a single, home run and five RBI. Rylan Williams also hit well with two singles, a triple and four RBI. Raelyn Parker had a double and an RBI and Skylar Webster a single and three RBI. Lexy Garrett added a single and an RBI.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City broke a 1-1 opening inning tie against Mulberry Grove with a two-run third and went on for a 9-1 victory Tuesday.
Elli Wheeler led the offense with two doubles and two RBI while Halee Goeckner added a single, double and one RBI. Anna Hart finished with two singles and Swaizee Jones had an RBI.
Wheeler also led the way on the mound. She went all seven innings, giving up one run on three hits while striking out 13 and walking two.
