 Cowden-Herrick Board Fills Teaching, Coaching Positions

Cowden-Herrick school board members approved Karly Smith as volunteer high school volleyball assistant coach at this month’s meeting.

The Board approved a tentative budget for the new fiscal year, approved The Upchurch Group’s proposal for completing the 10-year Health/Life Safety Survey, and approved Forsyth Insurance Group’s bid for district insurance.

Board members approved the purchase of high school track and cross country jerseys from Champion.

The Board also approved hiring Carmen Florey as head cook, Malaney Hall as cook DeLynne Morgason s full-time aide, Emily Reed as junior high cheerleading coach, and David Wojcik as bus driver. Also accepted was Shiela Moore’s retirement notice, effective at the end of the 2028-29 school year.
