NEOGA — Effingham Sacred Heart continues to pound the ball and picked up a big-scoring victory in junior high baseball action Tuesday.
The Shamrocks blanked Neoga, 15-0 in three innings. Gabe Traub hit a grand slam and also knocked in Chris Kenter on the second of back-to-back triples. Traub finished with four RBI.
Kenter ended with a triple and three RBI. Bryce Hayes and Reuben Jansen had two singles each while Jack Grunloh and Logan Schoenhoff added a single and an RBI each.
Bryce Hayes was the winner, going all three innings, allowing two hits one walk while striking out six.
Neoga had two hits, singles by Nohren and Coy.

At Effingham
Effingham St. Anthony had nine hits while two pitchers held Shelbyville Moulton to four hits in the contest as the Bullpups won 11-3.
St. Anthony edged ahead 3-0 in the second inning and was never overtaken. The Bullpups had four doubles in the game. Reed Schumacher had a single, double and an RBI while Luke Roewe added a double and two RBI. Bentley Baudier and Eli Bales finished with a double each.
Parker Phillips, Jaxon Having and Kolin Kiefer ended with a single and an RBI each.
Roewe went five innings for the mound victory. He allowed two runs on two hits, six walks and struck out seven. Paxton Coulter came on to go the final two innings, giving up one run on two hits, two walks and striking out three.

At Toledo
Cumberland played host to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and edged the Hatchets by an 8-7 tally Tuesday.
Cumberland moved into a 2-0 opening inning lead and led 4-0 after two. Windsor/Stew-Stras moved into a 5-4 lead in the top of the third but Cumberland came back to regain the lead with three runs.
Windsor/Stew-Stras tied the score at 7-7 with single runs in the fourth and sixth innings. Cumberland then won the game in the bottom of the seventh.
The winners had 10 hits led by Bronx Clapp with two singles, a double and two RBI, Gatlin Murphy with three singles and three RBI, Jasper Sherrick with two singles and two RBI and Alex Sherrick with two singles.
Austin Dittamore was the winning pitcher, tossing the last three innings, allowing one run on one hit, two walks and striking out five.
Windsor/Stew-Stras had nine hits led by Jacob Duncan with two singles, a double and one RBI.

Dieterich took a 4-2 lead on Jasper County in the first inning. But that didn’t last long as Jasper County moved into a 5-4 lead in the second and went on for a 13-5 victory Tuesday.
Jasper County finished with 13 hits in the contest while Dieteich had 11. But the Roadrunners committed five errors and gave up eight walks.
Dieterich was led in hitting by Nolan Nussmeyer, Colten Keck and Chase Bohnhoff had three singles each. Nussmeyer added an RBI. Callen Stortzum had two singles and three RBI and Reed Funneman added an RBI.
