The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) announced a new partnership with Musco Lighting to enhance the student-athlete and fan experience at member schools.
As Official and Exclusive Sports Lighting Provider, Musco will provide educational programming and other resources to raise awareness of lighting practices that help improve on-field safety and playability, heighten gameday atmosphere, expand field usage, and extend the longevity and lifetime value of their lighting systems.
Musco also offers free on-site lighting audits that help facilities assess the performance of their existing lighting and understand key considerations for their next project.
“We are proud to announce Musco Lighting as our official and exclusive lighting partner of the IHSA,” said IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson.” “Musco Lighting has helped us establish lighting standards for the athletic venues of our member schools that will ensure safe and competitive play for our student-athletes. We look forward to a long-term relationship of supporting student-athletes and their communities.”
Musco has specialized in sports lighting and technology for nearly 50 years, with industry-leading innovations in glare reduction and light control. In addition to maintaining numerous state-level partnerships, Musco is a long-time supporter of national organizations including the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
“Our partnership with IHSA builds on a commitment to providing safer, more enjoyable sports facilities for athletes of all ages and levels of play,” said Brent Castle, a longtime Musco representative in Illinois. “On behalf of the rest of the Musco team—including Loussaint Minett and Marcus Engstler—we’re proud to serve as a trusted resource for schools in the state.”
