Jim Griffiths, 85, of Toledo, IL passed away at 11:44 pm on August 8, 2025, at the Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday August 15, 2025, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Janesville cemetery with Military Rites by the Cumberland County Veterans.
Jim was born on July 26, 1940, in Edinburg, IL. to Harlow and Garnet (Trojak) Griffiths. He married Sandra Swartz on October 23, 1966. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra, sons Jim (Danielle) Griffiths, and John Griffiths, half brothers David Griffiths and Danny Griffiths, sister Jeanne VanHorn, stepsister Barbara Johnson, and half-sister Reenie Berendonk. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Betty Frost, and brothers Ralph Griffiths and Mike McNeely
Jim worked at General Electric in Mattoon IL, as a foreman production specialist for 36 years. He served in the United States Army overseas in Germany and Africa. Jim was happiest when riding his motorcycle. He loved Daylilies flowers and gardening. He always planted a large vegetable garden each year. He loved his Canine friend, Oscar.
