Wednesday, August 13 is the first day of attendance for students in Effingham Unit #40 schools.
Buses will transport students to and from school. Exceptions are the Early Learning Center, East Side Preschool, and South Side students, who should be brought by parents/guardians to and from school.
South Side will utilize the first day (Aug. 13th) for their Meet the Teacher Event. ELC and East Side Preschool will utilize Aug 13th and 14th for their Meet the Teacher Event.
At Effingham High School–Start Time will be 7:45am on Aug. 13, 14 & 15. Dismissal Time will be 1:50pm. Beginning Monday, August 18, Start Time will be 7:45am and Dismissal Time will be 2:50pm.
At Effingham Junior High School (6-8)–Start and Dismissal Time on August 13, 14 and 15 will be 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Beginning August 18, regular Start Time and Dismissal Time will be 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
At Central Grade School (3-5)–Start Time and Dismissal on August 13, 14 and 15 will be 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Beginning August 18, regular Start Time and Dismissal Time will be 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
East Side Preschool–Parents of students who have registered should have received a letter indicating the day and time that they will bring their child on Wednesday, August 13th or Thursday, August 14, for the Meet the Teacher Event. Friday, August 15th, transportation will be available. Morning Preschool students will attend from 8:15 AM – 10:50 AM. Afternoon Preschool students will attend from 12:15 PM – 2:00 PM. Morning Preschool students will attend from 8:15 AM – 10:50 AM. Afternoon Preschool students will attend from 12:15 PM – 2:50 PM.
South Side (1-2)–Parents of students who have registered should have received a letter indicating the day and time that they will bring their child on Wednesday, August 13th. The first day of
attendance will be Thursday, August 14th. Transportation will be provided. Hours on August 13, 14 and 15 will be 8am to 2pm. Friday, August 15th. Transportation will be provided. Beginning Monday, August 18th hours will be 8:00 AM – 2:50 PM.
ELC Kindergarten–Parents of students who have registered should have received a letter indicating the day and time that they will bring their child on August 13th or 14th for the Meet the Teacher Event. On Friday, August 15th, transportation will be available. Hours on the 15th will be 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Buses will begin loading at 1:30pm and parents pick-up will begin at 1:45pm. As of the 18th, hours will be from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Buses will begin loading at 2:35 PM, and parent pick-up will begin at 2:45 PM.
