John B. Bush, Jr., 83, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of Jasper County, passed away at Vitas Health Care in Ft. Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
He was born on February 28, 1942 in Chicago, the son of John and Charlotte (Simcox) Bush. He graduated from Newton Community High School in 1961. After graduation, John enlisted in the US Air Force.
He is survived by sisters, Jeanne Bush Price of Ft. Myers, Florida and Diane Fiandalo of Forrest Park; brothers, Jerry Bush of Altamont and Carlo Fiandolo of Forrest Park; aunt, Shirley Brown and her husband, Rev. Dean Brown; nephews, Randy Pagel, Rodney Grove, Chad Bush and James Bush, Jr.; and nieces, Jerri K. Bush and Debbie Pagel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Frank and Ida Bush; sister, Joanne Bush Pagel; and brother, James “Jim” Bush.
There will be no services at the family’s request. Ashes will be interred at South Muddy Cemetery at a later date.
