The Reiss Family 4-H Endowment Scholarship, established in memory of Brenda Reiss, who passed away in 2017 was presented to Kayden Hetzer and Luke Wente at the Effingham County Fair.

Brenda was a beloved member of the community, and her contributions to the 4-H program were immeasurable. She, along with her two sons, Ryan and Shawn, was actively involved in 4-H for over a decade.

Brenda had a deep love for the fair, camping out, and watching her boys show pigs and rabbits. It was truly a family affair, with Brenda always being a supportive and enthusiastic presence at every event. Her passion for 4-H and her dedication to her family and community made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

To honor her memory and continue her legacy, Ryan and Shawn created this scholarship, ensuring that Brenda’s spirit of support and encouragement lives on through the next generation of 4-H members.
