Teutopolis school board members this week continued discussing facility needs, long-term planning, and potential future financing strategies.

Craig Williams of communications firm Journey 12 joined the Board at the meeting. Williams discussed ways to share information about current and future initiatives.

Those wanting to offer input or to find out more district goals can contact Superintendent Matt Sturgeon.

Also at Teutopolis, the Board accepted letters of resignation from Dan Niemerg as high school Scholar Bowl sponsor and from Jessica Schackmann as a grade school teacher.

Those hired were Colbert “Page” Howell as band director, Rachel Buening as a grade school teacher, Samantha Will and Sarah Schabbing as grade school Student Council co-sponsors, Ivy Schmidt as choir sponsor, Nick Hartke as high school volleyball assistant coach, Sarah Mitchell as high school girls golf volunteer; and Allie Deters, Melissa Habing, Jessica Borries and Michelle Niebrugge as high school girls tennis coaches with split stipends.

The Board approved through a Memorandum of Understanding for this school year the creation of a paid high school boys golf assistant coach, a paid high school girls golf assistant coach, and a second paid high school assistant volleyball coach.
