Mechanical problems played a role in an electrical outage that affected hundreds south and west of Effingham early Friday morning.
Service was restored to all affected customers by 9am. The outages began just after 5am.
Customers in Altamont, Edgewood, St. Elmo and Avena were where most outages occurred.
