Effingham resident John Vanpelt has been sentenced to four years in prison for theft.
VanPelt’s sentence will run concurrent with three other felony cases. He was arrested on the theft charge in January.
VanPelt will serve six months mandatory supervised release once out of prison. He was given credit for 82 days served while awaiting disposition of his case.
