Arlin Daniel Gephart, age 86, of Dieterich, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Graveside service will be on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethsaida cemetery in Union Township, Illinois. Memorials may go to the donor’s choice. Condolences may be expressed at www.pagelfuneralhome.com.
Arlin was born on December 15,1938, the son of Thomas Daniel Gephart and Violet Woody in Elliotstown, Illinois. Arlin never met a stranger and was known for sitting and drinking coffee striking up a conversation with anyone he met. He loved the outdoors, and spent time hunting, fishing and trapping.
Arlin is survived by his son, David Gephart of Carlsbad, New Mexico; daughters, Sharon Ebell of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Susan Gephart of Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren, Michael Ebell of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Lina Romero of Los Lunas, New Mexico; Greatgrandchildren Victoria, Lilah, and Andres Romero, all of Los Lunas, New Mexico; brother, Howard Gephart of Elliotstown, Illinois; sisters, Ada Gossman of Elliotstown, Illinois, Pearl Christianson of Tunnel Hill, Illinois, and Hazel (Richard) Eaton of Plainfield, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Daniel and Violet Gephart; brothers, Ernest Gephart, Glen Gephart, and Floyd Gephart; sisters, Vercelia Inman, Louise Morgret, and Leona Leamons.
