Nonfarm payrolls in Illinois were nearly unchanged in May.
Total employment rose by just 100 jobs, leaving the jobless rate at 4.8%.
Job increases were seen in professional and business services; financial activities; and leisure and hospitality. Job decreases were seen in trade, transportation and utilities; government; and private education and health services.
