 Coastal Carolina, LSU To Meet For College Men’s World Baseball Series

Coastal Carolina and Louisiana State University will meet for the championship of the College World Series after both teams picked up victories Wednesday.

Coastal Carolina took charge early with a six-run first inning. The winners tacked on two runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and finished out with one in the eighth.

Louisville scored its three runs in the sixth. Brennyn Cutts, a Cumberland High School graduate, is a pitcher for the Louisville squad.

Leading Louisville in hitting were Garret Pike and Kamau Neighbors with two singles and an RBI each. Matt Klein and Tague Davis had a double each.

In the other contest, Louisiana State University edged  Arkansas, 6-5.

Coastal Carolina and Louisiana State University will meet at 6 p.m. Saturday in a game that can been watched on ESPN.
