Ruth Ann Kramer (Davis), 83, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away on June 1, 2025, peacefully at home.
Ruth was born August 9th 1941 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Glenn Davis and Mary Davis (Ludwig).
She graduated from Effingham High School. She went on to help run the coal and furniture businesses.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham with the burial at Arborcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to time of mass, Saturday in the narthex of the church. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.
Ruth married Kenneth Kramer, Jr. on August 27, 1960. They went on to have three children: Kenneth III, Bryan, and Katrina. Kenneth passed away on December 19th 2022. Together they owned The Icy Mug in Effingham until they retired to Sun City Center in Florida.
Ruth especially loved golfing and swimming. She was a part of many golfing charity events, most recently including Hospice fundraisers. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church of Sun City Center and the German American club. Ruth and Ken spent much of their time hosting parties in their community and taking lots of time for cruises and travel.
She is survived by sister Sharon (Terry) Craddock, grandchildren Joshua (Susan) Kramer of Helena, Alabama, Stephanie (Josh) Pontious of Mason, Illinois, Sara Daugherty of Dunedin, Florida, Shannon Kramer of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Zachary Daugherty of Sturgis, Michigan, and great-grandchildren Dawson Kramer, Joshua Jr., Jax, Sophia, Savannah, James, and Jedidiah Pontious.
Preceding Ruth in death is her spouse, Kenneth Kramer Jr. Her three children: Kenneth III, Bryan, and Katrina. Parents: Glenn and Mary Davis, brothers: George (Fish) Davis, John (Jug) Davis, Frank (Mouse) Davis, and Charlie Davis, sisters: Ethel (Tink) Wilson, Mildred (Pud) Sage, and Emma (Pert) Peterson.
