Close to 100 people from the Effingham area gathered in front of the Effingham County Office Building Saturday morning as part of a nationwide series of “No Kings” protests.
The signs seen and the remarks heard chiefly focused on President Donald Trump. One chant heard…”Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho, Donald Trump has gotta go!”
Of those gathered, the vast majority were local residents. Those present were orderly and many waved American flags on Flag Day 2025.
The protest was one of some 2,000 expected to occur across the nation.
