Vice President of Operations, Sales Manager, Co-host of The Drive Home
I’m Tonya Siner — proud mom to my little guardian angel, Peyton, and to three amazing sons: Patrick, Parker, and Preston and daughter in laws: Alix and Allison (and soon to be a first time grandma). I’m also a very proud aunt to my nephew Karter, who you may hear doing commercials and the intros for programs on The Drive Home. He’s becoming quite the little radio star! I’m a 1987 graduate of Effingham High School and earned my Associate’s Degree in Communications from Lake Land College in 1989, followed by my Bachelor’s in Communications from Sangamon State University (now the University of Illinois at Springfield) in 1991.
My radio journey began in 1988 as a part-time DJ at WCRC / WCRA and led me to Springfield where I worked with WMAY / WNNS / WQLZ as a Sales Assistant and later Account Executive. I couldn’t let go of my DJ roots, so I picked up weekend shifts on WQLZ!
I returned to Effingham and briefly stepped into the retail world at Maurices before joining Premier Broadcasting in 1998 as an Account Executive. By 2003, I was promoted to Vice President of Operations and Sales Manager.
I’m certified as a CRMC – Certified Radio Marketing Consultant (2000), CDMC – Certified Digital Marketing Consultant (2008), and CDMC 2.0 (2012). I’m passionate about staying ahead in this ever-evolving industry to offer my clients the best marketing guidance possible.
Community Involvement:
I’m a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, the Effingham Noon Rotary (Past President 2008 – 2009 and current Secretary), an Effingham County Chamber Grand Ambassador (Ambassador of Year 2022 & 2024), a board member for Strategic Training and Restoration (S.T.A.R.) through the Problem Solving Court Program, a board member of the Effingham Performance Center (EPC) and a member of the Tourism Advisory Board.
When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me bowling (a longtime favorite), kayaking, ghost hunting when the opportunity arises — or cheering on my nephew Karter at his sporting events.
