Teutopolis edged Effingham St. Anthony 5-4 in high school tennis action Saturday.
The Wooden Shoes claimed four of the six singles matches.
Will Lewis was a winner at No. 2 by a 6-2, 2-6, 10-4 count. Paul Huber won at No. 3, 6-4, 6-4.
Owen Heuerman went 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 at No. 5 and Derek Schmidt downed his opponent, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 at N0. 6.
St. Anthony’s Manaye Mossman won at the top spot, 6-4, 6-2. Jackson Schultz claimed No. 4, 3-6, 6-4, 10-4.
In doubles play, Mossman and Joey Trupiano combined to win, 6-3, 6-3. Alec Hakman and Ethan Karlolewicz combined to win No. 3, -67 (1), 6-3, 10-4.
But T-town’s Colin Habing and Will Lewis combined at No. 2 for the deciding point, 6-1, 6-1
