Seventh-Grade Volleyball Regionals — March 4 Results

GRAYVILLE — Altamont Lutheran claimed the championship of the Class 7-1A Grayville Volleyball Regional Wednesday evening.

Altamont Lutheran lost the opening set to West Salem, 25-19. But the team came back with 25-14, 25-22 scores for the match.

Altamont  Lutheran advances to the Sigel St. Michael Sectional Monday to take on the winner of the Chrisman Scottland Regional, either Windsor or Chrisman Scottland. Those two teams play tonight for the regional championship.

In the Class 7-4A Taylorville Regional, the host school won over Chatham Glenwood for the regional championship.

Taylorville won the opener 25-18 but Chatham Glenwood took the second set 25-23. Taylorville then won the match 25-23 and will now advance to the Chatham Glenwood Sectional Monday against Quincy at 6 p.m.

In matches tonight,  Chrisman Scottland meets Windsor at 6 p.m. for the championship of the 7-1A Chrisman Scottland Regional.

In Class 7-2A, St. Elmo/Brownstown faces Morrisonville at 6 p.m. for the championship of its own regional.

In Class 7-3A, Cumberland faces Paris Mayo at 6 p.m. for the championship of the Teutopolis Regional.
