The North Clay Cardinals Boys Basketball team enjoyed their first opportunity to play in the new Clay County State Bank Arena as they picked up victories over St. Elmo/Brownstown Wednesday night.
In the varsity contest the Cardinals jumped out to an early lead with a big first quarter. North Clay outscored SEB 31-12 and never looked back out scoring SEB in each quarter securing the National Trail matchup 74-45.
Josh Zink’s club saw all five players reach double figures in scoring led by Cody Zimdars with 21.
Graiden Willhour was the lone Eagle to reach double figures with 16 points.
North Clay won the JV game 48-44 and the Fresh/Soph 30-15.
