Altamont Lutheran is headed to the Class 7-1A State Volleyball Tournament after winning the Sigel St. Michael Sectional Monday evening.
Altamont Lutheran defeated Windsor, 25-10, 25-12 to improve to 17-3 on the season.
The squad will now play Friday at Clinton Junior High School against Decatur Unity (21-5) at 7 p.m.
In the opening match, Cissna Park (17-4) faces LaSalle St. Acutis (19-0) at 4:30 p.m. followed by Ottawa Marquette (24-1) meeting Peoria St. Jude (22-3) at 5:45. The final match will be held at 8:15 p.m. with Hartsburg-Emden (18-7) facing Carrollton St. John (14-4-1).
The semifinals will be held Saturday with the winner of match 1 against the winner of match 2 at 11 a.m. followed by the winner of match 3 against the winner of match 4 at 12:15 p.m.
The third place contest will be held at 2 p.m. with the championship scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
At Sullivan
Cumberland saw its season come to a close at the Class 7-3A Sullivan Sectional.
Macon Meridian downed Cumberland, 25-18, 25-23.
