 8th Grade NTC Volleyball Action

The 8th Grade NTC Volleyball Tournament began Wednesday with four play-in games at Windsor.

8 seed Stew-Stras fell to 9 seed St. Elmo/Brownstown 25-21, 25-8.
5 seed Dieterich defeated the 12th seed Sacred Heart 25-7, 25-11.
The 10th seed, Altamont defeated the 7 seed Neoga 12-25, 25-17, 15-7.
6th seed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City picked up a win 25-27, 25-11, 15-11 over 11th seed Windsor.

With those results Stew-Stras, Sacred Heart, Neoga, and Windsor all saw their tournament come to a close.

For the remaining eight teams it will be a busy Saturday with consolation bracket, quarter-final, semi-final, third place, and championship contests as they utilize the New and Old Gyms at Windsor.

Play begins at 9am with South Central vs. St. Elmo/Brownstown and North Clay vs. Altamont. 10am contests will feature Sigel St. Michael vs. Dieterich and Cumberland vs. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.
