Altamont was a winner over St. Elmo/Brownstown in eighth-grade volleyball during the weekend.
Altamont won 25-16 before St. Elmo/Brownstown took the second match 25-21. Altamont then claimed the match, 28-26 to improve to 1-6 on the season.
Teegan Burrus led the winners in aces with eight and assists with 11. Addi Neu had eight kills. Kinzie Polk led in digs with seven.
Altamont is back in action today against Trinity.

Jasper County won the seventh-grade contest over Paris Mayo Saturday, 25-19, 25-15 and remains unbeaten at 5-0.
Leading in the seventh-grade match were E. Wolf and H. Wolf with three aces each. H. Wolf led in digs with four. E. Wolf led in blocks with one. Ginder, H. Wolf and Ochs led in assists with four each. Wagner led in kills with five.
In eighth-grade play, Jasper County won 25-16, 25-17 and is 4-2.
Jansen led the winners in aces with six. Briscoe and Mulvey had five kills each. Wolf led in assists with eight and digs with three. Hall had two blocks.
Jasper County is back in action today at Teutopolis.

At Mattoon
Teutopolis won the seventh-grade match against Mattoon Friday.
The Wooden Shoes took the opener 25-13. Mattoon came back for the second set, 25-22. T-town won the match 25-23.
In eighth-grade play, Mattoon was the winner 25-18, 25-11 and also won the C match, 31-24.
