Effingham split victories with Robinson in junior high volleyball competition.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade match, 25-14, 22-25, 25-12 to improve to 3-1 on the season.

Kynlie Rohr and Alivia Lauritzen led in kills with five each. Rosie Schmidt had 11 aces and seven assists. Anna Gouchenouer and Mia Hartke had five digs each.

In eighth-grade play, Robinson won the opener 25-20 but Effingham came back to take the next set 25-19. Robinson then won the match 25-18.

Miley Wilson and Savannah Fear led the Mustangs with five kills each. Wilson had four aces. Kenley Moore led in assists with nine and had one block. Kendyl Smith and Kloey Bierman had one block each. Bierman led in digs with four.

Seventh-Grade Match

Effingham — Gouchenouer, 3 kills, 6 aces, 1 assist, 5 digs; Weishaar, 1 kill; Schmidt, 11 aces, 7 assists, 3 digs; Mulheron, 1 kill; Ring, 1 kill, 1 assist; Hartke, 1 kill, 4 assists, 5 digs; Rohr, 2 kills, 6 aces, 4 digs; Lauritzen, 5 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig

At St. Anthony

St. Anthony and Cumberland each won a match.

Cumberland claimed the seventh-grade contest, 25-15, 25-15.

Leading St. Anthony was Morgan Kabbes with 11 digs while Mary Hoke had nine. Morgan Litz led in assists with four. Maeve Niebrugge had two kills. Five players had one ace each.

In eighth-grade play, St. Anthony won 25-6, 25-15.

Amelia Janis and Bella Schultz had one dig each. Nina Semple led in assists with seven. Schultz led in kills with seven and had two blocks. Caelyn Buehnerkemper and Amaya Griffith had two blocks each. Schultz and JackLynn Nuxoll had three aces each.

At St. Anthony

At Cowden

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Sigel St. Michael ended up with a victory each Friday.

CHBC won the seventh-grade match, 25-21, 26-24. Brooke Tucker led in kills with four and assists with five, Makynlie Prater had seven aces, Mila Wakefield had one block and Elli Wheeler led in digs with six.

In eighth-grade action, St. Michael claimed the win. CHBC won the opening set 26-24. St. Michael took the next two sets for the match 25-23, 25-15.

Leading the Bobcats were Anna Hart with seven kills, four aces and two blocks and Hadley Pope and Valentina Doty with five assists each.

At Cowden

At Louisville

North Clay improved to 4-0 on the season with a victory over Windsor. In seventh-grade play, North Clay lost the opener 25-20 but came back with 25-7, 15-13 wins for the match.

In the eighth-grade contest, North Clay was a winner 25-10, 25-17.
