Effingham St. Anthony fell to Taylorville in junior high volleyball competition Tuesday evening.
Taylorville was a 25-9, 25-7 winner in the seventh-grade contest. Ava Barnes led the Bullpups in blocks with two while Maeve Niebrugge and Barnes had one ace each. Morgan Litz and Emma Galeener had one dig each.
In eighth-grade action, Taylorville was a 25-15, 25-20 winner.
Sylvia Semple and Amaya Griffith led in digs with four each. Nina Semple and Griffith led in assists with two each. JackLynn Nuxoll had two kills. Bella Schultz led in blocks with three. S. Semple had five aces.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis was a winner in two matches while Neoga picked up a victory Tuesday evening.
Teutopolis was a 25-18, 25-12 winner in the seventh-grade match.
Neoga claimed the eighth-grade contest 25-16, 25-19.
T-town won the C match, 25-15, 15-4.
At Louisville
North Clay and Cumberland split victories in action Tuesday evening.
Cumberland won the seventh-grade contest 25-21, 25-23.
In eighth-grade play, North Clay won 25-23, 25-12.
North Clay is back in action next Monday against St. Elmo/Brownstown beginning at 3:45 p.m.
