TAYLORVILLE — Effingham traveled to Taylorville and fell to the homestanders in both seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball matches Wednesday evening.
The seventh-grade squad won its opening set 25-19 but fell in the next two sets, 25-22, 25-13 for the match.
Kynlie Rohr led in kills with four and aces with six. Rosie Schmidt also had six aces and had five digs. Mia Hartke had five digs and led in assists with six. Sophia Wiedman had one block.
In eighth-grade play, Effingham lost 25-19, 25-15.
Miley Wilson led the Mustangs with four kills, one ace and one block. Kenley Moore had one ace and six assists. Savannah Fear had one ace and one block. Kloey Bierman had seven digs.
