ST. ELMO — St. Elmo/Brownstown and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City were winners at the Class 1A St. Elmo/Brownstown Volleyball Regional Tuesday evening.
The Eagles of SEB came away with a 25-19, 25-11 victory over Patoka in the first match.
Patoka moved into a 6-3 lead and pushed that lead to 13-10. But St.Elmo/Brownstown took over with a 15-9 run to take a 25-19 win.
The Eagles continued on and moved into a 14-4 lead and took that out at 25-11 for the match.
Presley Williams and Addie Sasse led the Eagles in kills with seven. Ariana Kistler had four blocks. Sasse led in assists with 12. Macey Sapp led in digs with eight. Alivia Claycomb had two aces.
St. Elmo/Brownstown improved to 19-12.
In the second match, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was a winner over Altamont, 25-19, 25-16.
CHBC was led by Jalizah Bowlin with three kills and three aces, Ethel Stuckemeyer also had three aces. Gracie Wright led in assists with 10. Ethel Stuckemeyer had two blocks. Allison Shields led in digs with 10.
Altamont was led by Riley Rippetoe with five kills, four assists, four digs and one block. Laila Hankins also had four digs and one block. Bella Hollinshead and Kimber Sphar had one block each.
The regional continues tonight as Okaw Valley faces South Central at 6 p.m. and St. Elmo/Brownstown takes on Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 7.
The winners will then advance to the championship match Thursday at 6 p.m.

At Nokomis
North Clay/Clay City advanced in the Class 1A Nokomis Regional with a victory Tuesday evening.
The Cardinals won over Raymond Lincolnwood Co-op, 26-24, 25-23 in the second match of the evening.
In the opener, Dieterich’s season came to a close with a 25-11, 25-11 loss to Carlyle.
Kinley Will led in digs with six for the Maroons while she also had one ace. Allie Uthell led in kills with six and blocks with four. Lydia Fuesting had three assists.
Dieterich finished the season with a 9-21 record.
Noth Clay will now meet Carlyle at 7 p.m. today. In the opener, Nokomis and Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran will meet at 6 p.m.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and Tuscola were winners in second round play Tuesday evening.
The host Hatchets won over Bethany Okaw Valley, 25-15, 25-9.
“The girls took care of business tonight but will need to bring a little more energy and excitement tomorrow,” said WSS Coach Ronda Schlechte. “The girls served well tonight so hopefully that will continue.”
Brinlie Durbin and Zaida Wascher led in aces with two each. Mya Friese had 11 kills and seven digs. Wascher and Kendra Hayes also had seven digs. Wascher and Brooke Schumacher had one block assist each.
Windsor/Stew-Stras is 25-11 on the season and will face Tuscola at 7 p.m. today. Tuscola was a 25-20, 25-23 winner over Martinsville Tuesday.
In the opening match tonight, Cumberland faces Oblong at 6 p.m. The winners will advance to the championship match Thursday.
At Strasburg

Neoga’s season came to a close in the Casey/Westfield Regional Tuesday evening.
The Indians fell to host Casey-Westfield 25-18, 25-13.
Malory Henderson led the team in digs with 11 and kills with two. Madelynn Frankie also had two kills. Chloe Frankie led in assists with three. Henderson, Natalie Ballinger and M. Frankie had one block each.
Lawenceville was a 25-18, 23-25, 25-19 winner over Villa Grove in the second match.
Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will meet Chrisman at 6 p.m. today while Casey-Westfield and Lawrenceville meet at 7. The winner advances to the championship match at 6 p.m. Thursday.
