Effingham defeated Charleston in Apollo Conference action 25-20, 25-6. The Hearts also won the JV match 25-15, 25-16 and also won a tight Fresh/Soph contest 26-28, 26-24, 17-15 to sweep the night.
In National Trail regular season play Dieterich defeated Neoga 15-25, 25-23, 25-20. Cumberland also won in three sets over St. Elmo/Brownstown 25-16, 7-25, 25-19.
Egyptian Illini conference volleyball saw Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City defeated Patoka/Odin 25-8, 25-21. The JV games went to Patoka/Odin 25-21, 25-17 and they also won the Fresh/Soph 25-20, 25-11.
In non-conference games the South Central Lady Cougars lost to Woodlawn in 3 sets 25-13, 22-25, 23-25. The JV won in 2 sets 25-20, 25-16.
Teutopolis varsity defeated Altamont 25-15 26-24. T-Town’s JV won 25-17 26-24 and their Freshman won 25-9 25-12 to claim all three wins on the night.
North Clay fell on senior night to Oblong 25-15, 25-6.
