South Central defeated Patoka in high school volleyball competition Friday.
The Cougars won 25-20, 25-14 to improve to 3-8 on the season.
Mya Schaal led in kills with 10 and had one blocked shot. River Yingst led in assists with 14. Maddie Peddicord had nine digs and one blocked shot.
The junior varsity won 25-12, 25-19 and the freshman/sophomore squad also won 25-6, 28-26.

At Mattoon
Neoga competed in the Mattoon Tournament and suffered five losses Saturday.
Mattoon was a winner over the Indians, 25-20, 25-10. Neoga fell to Mount Vernon, winning the opening set 26-24 then losing 25-16, 15-8.
Neoga lost to Springfield, 25-17, 25-13 and St. Joseph-Ogden 22-25, 25-13, 15-9. They fell to Mount Vernon 25-15, 25-15.
At Louisville
In regular season action Friday, North Clay was a winner over Neoga, 25-18, 14-25, 25-13.
North Clay also won the junior varsity match, 25-16, 30-28 and split freshman/sophomore play with North Clay winning 30-28 and Neoga winning 25-6.
