Effingham St. Anthony captured the Lady Pirate Track Invitational Friday at Kathryn Connor Hodges Memorial Track.
The Bulldogs won with 98.5 points followed by Robinson 83.25, Marshall 73, Casey-Westfield 71.25, Altamont 57, Cumberland 55, Vandalia 46.75, Arcola 40, Neoga 35.25, Hume Shiloh 32, Brownstown/St. Elmo 16 and Bethany Okaw Valley 4.
Reese Hoene was a four-event champion for the Bulldogs. Hoene won the 100 in 12.96 seconds and the 200 in 26.92. She also claimed the 400 in 1:00.76 minutes. She then moved to the field events and captured the long jump with a leap of 5.17 meters.
Cara Hatton was a winner in the long jump for St. Anthony with a leap of 1.57 meters.
Aubrey Denning also captured a first place in the 800 with a time of 2:16.26 minutes. She took second in the 1600 in 5:09.23.
The Bulldogs got points in the discus as Madelyn Gilmore placed second at 29.58 meters and Madilyn Haarmann was third at 28.78.
Cumberland’s 4×200 relay team was a winner in 1:53.83 minutes. Members of the team were Kinley McMechan, Brielle Aaron, Kaelin Edwards and Alysa Dittamore. Hannah Shoemaker finished second in the 100 hurdles in 17.12 seconds and was second in the 300 hurdles in 52.39.
Altamont’s 4×100 relay team finished first in 53.33 seconds. Team members were Gabriella Weishaar, Ada Roberts, Katie Tedrick and Abigail Weishaar.
A. Weishaar was second in the 100 in 13.22 seconds, second in the 200 in 27.72 seconds and second in the 400 in 1:01.66 minutes.
