DIETERICH — Dieterich High School moved into a 2-0 opening inning lead and went on for a 6-2 victory over Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Monday evening.

The Maroons tacked on two runs in the fourth and single runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Dieterich had eight hits led by Addi Huber with a double. Lydia Wohltman had two singles and an RBI while Aliza Garner and Allison Boerngen added two singles each. Kinley Will finished with a single and two RBI and Kensi Stortzum with an RBI.

Boerngen went the distance on the mound. She struck out 10 and didn’t allow a walk.

At Dieterich

At Farina

Teutopolis banged out 11 hits that included three home runs, and ended with a 9-3 victory over South Central Monday.

The Wooden Shoes ripped out to a 7-0 lead in the second inning and tacked on two more in the sixth.

Alyssa Tipton finished with two singles and a solo home run. Chloe Hoene had a single, home run and three RBI while Lauren Shue had a home run and four RBI. Kera Hartke had a double, Jersey Gaddis two singles and an RBI and Kylie Borries two singles.

Gaddis picked up the pitching victory. She gave up three runs on eight hits, five walks while striking out five.

South Central was led by Zoey Feldhake with two singles and an RBI, Amelia Montes and Maddie Peddicord with two singles each. Kinlee Thompson added a single and an RBI and Lauren Johnson an RBI.

At St. Elmo

Effingham St. Anthony went on a tear, banging out 10 hits and scoring 10 runs in a 10-1 victory over St. Elmo/Brownstown Monday.

The Bulldogs edged out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning then tacked on five in the fourth and two more in the sixth.

Julia Schultz had a single, double, home run and three RBI while Mallory Litz added two doubles and an RBI. Nancy Ruholl, Emeline Wines and Claire Kinkelaar had a single and an RBI each. Jackie Vonderheide added an RBI.

Ruholl went five innings for the pitching win. She gave up one run on four hits, one walk and struck out one. Chloe Kelley finished out the final two innings, giving up one walk while striking out two.

St. Elmo/Brownstown was led by Auni Wollin with a single and an RBI.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg handed Altamont an 11-0 loss in five innings Monday.

The Hatchets moved into a 3-0 opening inning lead and led 4-0 after two. They tallied two runs in the fourth and five in the fifth.

Mya Friese led the way in hitting for the Hatchets with two singles, a double and two RBI. Kendra Hayes had a double and an RBI, Arora Rincker a double, Kinsley Dunaway with a single and three RBI, Clarissa Johnson with a single and two RBI, Kalia Friese a single and an RBI and Claire Holland with an RBI.

Hayes went the five innings, giving up two hits, one walk while striking out seven for the pitching win.

Altamont’s two hits were singles by Adilyn Schnarre and Sophia Long.

Neoga moved into a 5-0 opening inning lead and went on to end this game via the 10-run rule by a 15-1 count over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Monday.

Neoga had 11 hits in the contest and was aided by six CHBC errors.

Lillian Denson had a double and four RBI for the winners. Maleah Coy had a single, double and three RBI, Chloe Frankie a single and triple, Josalyn Brandenburg two singles and an RBI, Kenley Westendorf a single and two RBI and Hannah Propst and Cece Chardon had a single and an RBI each.

CHBC had only three hits led by Jayla Arnett with two singles and an RBI.

At Neoga

Effingham and Chatham Glenwood went two innings without scoring Monday. But Glenwood broke loose with a four-run third, a two-run fourth and a single run in the sixth to blank Effingham, 7-0 Monday.

The Hearts had only two hits both by Maci Hayes with a single and double.

Chatham Glenwood finished with 11 hits led by Ryleigh Kiel with two singles, a home run and two RBI, Hope Gilmore with three singles and Ava Bobb with a single and double.

Alyvia Streb tossed a two-hitter. She did not give up a walk and struck out seven.

Marshall came calling and claimed an 11-3 victory over Newton Monday.

Marshall moved into a 2-0 opening inning lead and led 4-1 after three. The Lions then tallied three more in the fourth and four in the sixth.

Kyla Gustafson held Newton to two hits while striking out 14.

McKenzie Davis had a single, double and drove in five runs for the Lions. Caitlyn Hilliard had three singles an two RBI, Lynn Welborn a single and double and Avery Cornwell with a double and two RBI.
