Nokomis handed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City a high school softball loss by a 14-4 tally.
Nokomis moved into a 2-1 opening inning lead then added on three in the third. CHBC came back with a 3-2 third inning to pull within 7-4. But Nokomis put across four more runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to end the game via the 10-run rule.
CHBC had three hits, all singles by Allison Shields, Harper Lilly and Madison Dover. Lilly drove in two runs.
