SIGEL — Neoga advanced to the championship game of the Class 1A Sigel St. Michael Softball Regional with an 11-1 victory over Effingham St. Anthony.
Neoga took control in the first inning with three runs and went on to down the Bullpups by an 11-1 count in five innings Wednesday.
Mackie White led the winners with three hits and also picked up the win on the mound.
The winners finished with 10 hits led by White with three singles and an RBI, Bliss Bear with two singles and two RBI, Kyndall Mars with two singles and an RBI, Kinzie Bell with a single and two RBI and Lucy Haarman with a single and an RBI.
St. Anthony had two hits, singles by Mary Hoke and Morgan Lustig.
White went four innings on the mound. She gave up one run on two hits, walked three and struck out five. Bear came on to toss the final inning.
In the first game of the evening, Martinsville edged Mattoon St. John’s, 4-3.
Neoga will now face Martinsville at 10 a.m. Saturday for the regional championship and the right to advance to the Hutsonville Sectional Tuesday.

Class 2A Casey-Westfield Regional
Cumberland and Casey-Westfield advanced after claiming victories Wednesday.
Cumberland blanked Marshall 15-0 in the first game of the evening.
In the second contest, Casey-Westfield won over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, 7-1.
Casey-Westfield moved into a 1-0 opening inning lead. Windsor/Stew-Stras came back to tie the score in the fifth.
The game went into extra innings and Casey-Westfield broke loose with six runs in the top of the eighth for the 7-1 victory.
The winners had four hits led by F. Tipsword with two singles and an RBI and M. High with a single and two RBI.
Windsor/Stew-Stras finished with four hits, all singles by M. Corrie, C. Holland, M. Manhart and K. Althoff.
Class 2A Casey-Westfield Regional

Class 2A Robinson Nuttall
Teutopolis saw its season come to a close with a 12-1 loss to host Robinson Nuttall Wednesday.
In the second game, Jasper County won over Red Hill, 6-4.
Jasper County and Robinson Nuttall will now meet for the regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Class 3A Mount Zion Regional
Effingham will be competing at the Mount Zion Regional today against Mattoon.
The Mustangs are the top seed while Mattoon is seeded fifth. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
The second game features Monticello against Mount Zion at 6:30.
The winners will meet Saturday for the regional championship at 11 a.m.
Class 2A Altamont Regional
Altamont faces Pana at 4:30 p.m. while Greenville meets Shelbyville Moulton at 6:30 p.m. today.
The winners will advance to the championship game Saturday at 11 a.m.
