GREENVILLE — Taylorville ran out to a 9-0 opening inning lead and went on to bounce Effingham St. Anthony 20-0 in three innings at the Greenville junior high softball tournament Friday.

St. Anthony had two hits but committed three errors. Mary Hoke and Morgan Lustig had a single each for the Bullpups.

Taylorville finished with 10 hits.

At Altamont

Altamont edged ahead 2-1 in the opening inning and went on to end this game over Sigel St. Michael by 10-runs in the fifth, 12-2 Friday.

Blaire Suckow tossed a six-hitter with no walks while striking out 11.

Altamont finished with eight hits and was aided by eight  St. Michael errors.

Teegan Burrus had three singles and two RBI while Blakely McClellan added two singles. Suckow aided her own cause with a single and two RBI while Addison Neu had a single and an RBI and Olivia Bowman an RBI.

St. Michael was led by Brianna Niebrugge with a single and triple and Taylor Monroe and Ava Hoene with a single and an RBI each.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis held a 8-5 lead after four innings but Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg rallied with three runs in the sixth and scored the winning run in the top of the seventh for a 9-8 victory Friday.

The Hatchets finished with 15 hits in the contest. Gia Bostedo led the way with four singles and two RBI while Miranda Corrie chipped in with two singles, a double and an RBI. KJ Althoff added a double and two RBI while Reese Stigers had two singles and an RBI. Gracyn Montgomery finished with a single and two RBI and Laney Barnard had a single and an RBI,.

Corrie picked up the win as the fourth of four pitchers. She went the final inning, allowing no hits, one walk while striking out three.

Teutopolis was led by Kennedi Hartke with two singles and two RBI, Addisyn Meyer with two singles and an RBI, Emily Murray with two singles and Aubri Ruholl with a single and an RBI.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was a 9-6 winner over St. Elmo/Brownstown Friday.

Eli Wheeler pickec up the pitching win.

Rhilynn Miller had three hits while Aria Ervin had two hits and two RBI and Jadyn Wright one hit and two RBI.
