Dieterich opened the junior high softball season by blanking Marshall 12-0 in four innings Thursday.
L. Kreke tossed three innings of no-hit ball. She gave up only one walk and struck out six. N. Wente came on to pitch the final inning and did not give up a hit.
The Roadrunners put together eight hits and were aided by five Marshall errors.
A. Benefiel had a double, triple and drove in three runs while A. Icenogle added a single, double and three RBI, L. Kreke a triple and M. Roedl two singles.

South Central produced 14 hits while S. Webster kept Sigel St. Michael off the basepaths, allowing only one hit and striking out seven, for a 16-1 win in five innings Thursday.
The Falcons’ Webster went the four innings, giving up only one run on one hit. She did not walk a batter and struck out seven.
Meanwhile, South Central’s bats got going. Webster aided her own cause with three singles and three RBI while L. Garrett had a double, triple and three RBI, C. Chasteen two doubles and an RBI, A, Giles three singles and two RBI, R. Sidwell a home run and two RBI, R. Williams a single and double and V. Skibinski a triple. B. McDonald and T. Yates added an RBI each.
St. Michael’s hit was a triple by K. Roberts.

Charleston took a 3-0 opening inning lead and went on for a 13-1 victory over Effingham St. Anthony Thursday. The game ended in the fifth via the 10-run rule.
The Bullpups finished with three hits led by T. Huebner, M. Lustig and M. Hoke with a single each. L. Bloemer added an RBI.
Charleston tallied six hits and was aided by three St. Anthony errors.
