Teutopolis High School finished with a 2-0 soccer victory Tuesday over Altamont.

Landyn Buening scored on a PK for a foul in the box and Tucker Dhom scored on an assist by Simon Lee.

“We had a rough night but we came away with the win,” said T-town  Coach Aaron Wendt. “Our varsity is now 5-1-1 on the season.”

“It was a solid game between both teams,” said Altamont Coach Eric Morales. “They scored a late PK in the first half to put them up 1-0 and then a second goal right before half to give them the edge 2-0. We held them off but just couldn’t connect.”

The junior varsity Shoes was a 1-0 winner. The goal was scored by Mark Probst assisted by Grant Tegeler. The JV Shoes are unbeaten at 3-0.

Teutopolis will play Thursday at Mattoon while Altamont will play host to Trenton Wesclin, with both games starting at 4:30 p.m.
