CHAMPAIGN, IL — Gill Athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) to become the official equipment supplier of the Illinois High School Boys and Girls State Track & Field Championships beginning with the 2026 season.
As part of this collaboration, every athlete who qualifies for the prestigious IHSA State Meet at Eastern Illinois University will compete on brand-new, state-of-the-art Gill Athletics equipment. This includes:
Gill S4 Pole Vault Pit and Gill S4 High Jump Pit
Gill G4 Collegiate Hurdle
A full assortment of elite Gill discuses and shot puts
Custom relay batons for every relay team competing at the State Meet
Gill Athletics, headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, has been a proud part of the state’s track and field tradition for over a century. Many Gill team members have competed in the Illinois State Meet themselves or have coached athletes who reached this pinnacle. Supporting Illinois track and field athletes and coaches is deeply personal to the company.

Former McHenry High School pole vaulter Max Schweitzer now serving as Gill Athletics’ Sales Rep will be the leader for the IHSA Track equipment provision. “As someone born and raised in Illinois who competed and coached track here, it’s an honor to support the next generation of Illinois track and field athletes at the IHSA State Meet,” said Schweitzer. “Providing the best equipment to help athletes reach their full potential means a lot to me personally and to all of us at Gill.”
